About Sora
Sora was OpenAI's second-generation video generation model, Sora 2, released in late 2025. It was capable of creating realistic and physically accurate videos up to 60 seconds long with 1080p resolution, and also featured synchronized dialogue and sound effects. However, the Sora web and app experiences were discontinued on April 26, 2026, and the Sora API is scheduled to be discontinued on September 24, 2026.
